I need cash from an ATM
Look for an international ATM displaying your card’s network. Seven Bank is one option. Select your language, follow the withdrawal prompts and read the fees before confirming.
Do this now
- Use the bank’s official ATM locator. Check the location’s opening hours as well as ATM availability.
- Insert your card and choose withdrawal. Enter the PIN privately and select the appropriate account and amount.
- If offered a currency choice, compare the displayed conversion terms. Selecting yen leaves conversion to your card issuer; issuer fees may still apply. Collect cash, card and receipt.
Which situation are you in?
My card is rejected
Check the supported logo, overseas-withdrawal setting, PIN and daily limit with your issuer.
The amount is rejected
Try a lower permitted amount after checking the screen’s limits. Your issuer can impose a separate limit.
It asks JPY or my home currency
Home-currency conversion uses the ATM’s displayed rate. JPY uses your issuer’s conversion terms. Review before agreeing.
