Will my suitcase fit on a Japan night bus?
Check the luggage rule for the exact bus before buying. A suitcase accepted by an airline or train may exceed a bus operator’s limit. Measure its outside height, width and depth, then check the allowed number of bags, weight and whether that service has trunk storage.

The booking does not mention a trunk
Do not assume every coach has one. WILLER’s luggage guide says trunk availability depends on the vehicle and service. Check the reservation details or ask the operator before buying with a large suitcase.
My bag is above the published limit
Ask for a written answer for your service, bag dimensions, weight and count. Do not rely on a forum comment that another driver allowed it. If it cannot be accepted, change your luggage or transport plan before departure.
I already booked and only just noticed the rule
Contact the seller or operator now. Check cancellation or change costs before replacing the booking. Buying another passenger seat does not automatically buy extra trunk space.

Compare the final total and cancellation conditions. The site says cancellation rules vary by operator and its administrative fee and taxes are not refundable. If the baggage rule is unclear, ask before paying.

No single number should be used for every highway bus. For example, WILLER’s published page gives a general one-piece trunk limit of 155 cm but identifies stricter exceptions for other operators. Use the limit attached to your selected service.
