How do I pay at this checkout?
First check who scans the items. At a semi-self checkout, staff scan and you pay on the screen. At a full self checkout, you scan the items before choosing payment.
Do this now
- Wait for staff to finish scanning, or follow the self-scan instructions. Choose English if offered.
- Check the total and select your payment method: 現金 means cash; クレジット means credit card; 交通系IC means a transit IC card.
- Insert cash into the designated slots or follow the card-reader prompt. Wait for completion and collect your change, card, receipt and shopping.
